  • Can BV be detected in a urine sample?

Urine is a viable source for BV testing. This is due to pregnant women having to be screened for leukocytes and glucose via urine initially. Some studies do not collect vaginal swabs so this first-void urine, also known as FVU, may be the only source material in which BV can be investigated.
