​The standards for a Telehealth Abortion are the same as an in-person medical abortion procedure

• You are currently pregnant and want to proceed with a medical abortion.
• You cannot have any condition that could interfere with a medical abortion, making it unsafe for you, such as the following:
  • Current implantation of an IUD- Intrauterine Device such as Paragard, Mirena, Skyla, Liletta, Kyleena
  • Health issues or complications pertaining to your adrenal glands
  • Any abnormal blood clotting condition
  • A genetic blood disease such as inherited porphyria
  • An allergy that could result in a reaction to the abortion medication
• It is also pertinent that you are not using any other medications that could negatively interact with the medicine that is administered during a medical abortion procedure. Medications that could interfere with the procedure are anticoagulants (blood thinners) and steroids.

For the video call meeting you will need a device, such as a smartphone or a computer, with internet connect, a webcam, and a microphone.

During the video call meeting, you will receive a counseling session which includes decision-making and birth control.

Please have available any reports from previous ultrasounds of the current pregnancy and records of your blood type (e.g., B positive) on hand for the video chat.

Once you are confirmed to be eligible for the procedure you will be prescribed the necessary abortion medication. The Abortion pill will be available for pick-up from our office.
