The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade has been devastating to all people who believe in reproductive freedom. As a community, more than ever, we need to come together ensure access to necessary reproductive care for all.

According to the Guttmacher Institute, the majority of abortions performed in the US are provided at independent clinics, like us. Unfortunately, an alarming number of independent clinics have now either shut down or are floundering as a result of large, well-funded organizations that are against reproductive freedom.  

Independent clinics now need to rely on donations from individuals and communities to keep functioning. Rapidly rising expenses include supplies, rent, and the costs associated with the dedicated employees that work in these institutions. You may not know it, but there are insurance companies that outright deny coverage to doctors and facilities solely because they offer abortions. When the select few firms do offer protection for these providers, it is at a much-inflated premium—in effect penalizing these clinics specifically for providing abortions. Additionally, there are a myriad of other factors that complicate the process of getting this protection. With this Gofundme, we are reaching out in hopes of raising awareness about these ever-rising expenses, and in turn seek financial assistance from our community to aid in our clinic’s sustainability. Unfortunately, independent clinics like us are not supported by donations from large corporations or governmental agencies.  

We have devoted our professional lives to ensuring that people in need have access to the greatest care available. We need your assistance more than ever to keep this goal in sight. We believe that by seeking your support through donations, we will be able to keep our clinic’s doors open and in turn be able to provide important reproductive care for those in need.

We have firsthand experience with the positive influence of compassionate and accessible abortion care and its effect on individuals, families, and communities.
