Telehealth: Video Visits From The Comfort Of Your Home

During this turbulent time of COVID-19, we understand some patients may be experiencing anxiety accessing the reproductive healthcare they need.  At Parkmed NYC, we are offering Telehealth Medicine (video visit ) to provide you the care you need in the privacy of your own home. We encourage you to utilize this feature that provides you a wide range of services in order to avoid travel at this time. 

During your video visit, you will meet one of our Board Certified Gynecologists who will address your concerns and when needed prescribe medication for you.  Your medication can be delivered to your home.

What is a video visit?

A video visit is like an office visit, only instead of traveling to see us you can video conference with our board certified doctors from the privacy of your home. This is sometimes referred to as telehealth or telemedicine. Our doctors can assess symptoms, make a diagnosis, recommend treatment, and send prescriptions electronically to your pharmacy.

  • Self-administered depo-provera
  • Urinary frequency/bladder infections
  • Vulvar discomfort and vulvar lesions
  • Penile lesion and discharge
  • Vaginal discharge
  • Treatment of known exposure to sexually transmitted infections

  • Vaginal spotting / Bleeding
  • Spontaneous miscarriage after known pregnancy(inside the uterus)
  • Medical abortion when eligible
  • Emergency contraception

What do you need to do participate in a video visit?

We are excited to announce that patients can now quickly and easily connect to their video visit directly from a text message.

No download or login required. 

Patients can connect in 3 easy steps from their phone
1. Patient opens the email or text and clicks on the link provided. Contact us to get your link.
2. Patient fills out and submits the questionnaire and vitals.
3. Start the video visit!

How to prepare for your video visit on the day of your appointment:

We recommend logging into your Patient Portal at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.

You will also receive an email notification as a reminder, titled, “ Telemed appointment reminder from your doctor’s office”

Will my insurance plan cover video visit?

Most insurance plans cover video visits, also known as “telehealth visits”.  We are happy to help contact your insurance on your behalf. We go out of our way to ensure that you are able to use ALL of the benefits you are entitled to under your insurance (we accept Medicaid and most insurances).  Please call (212) 686-6066 and ask for more information.

What if I need an appointment and I want to see a doctor in-person?
